Practical tips from us to you
The American Trip itinerary has been created in such a way to ensure a peak of excitement from experiencing National Parks and cities of the United States. This means that during our journey, there will be some days when we will need to drive approximately 600 km in a day. During the drive, there's a stop at least once every 4 hours. We believe that such form of travelling will enable you to see America in a special manner and feel the momentum of a real American road trip.
Even though we move around in a group, it does not mean that you don't get to spend some time as an individual, by your own preferences. In fact, the only attraction that we visit as an organized tourist group per se, is the Antelope Canyon, to which you can descend only with a designated guide. But most of the time, in places like the Grand Canyon or cities of Los Angeles and San Francisco, every participant discovers them in their own fashion. Our guide gives clues for exploring a certain area, especially when it comes to indicating time and place of pick up and return. Thanks to this system, everyone can sightsee without any hurry and manage their time individually.
In the American culture, breakfast customs differ significantly from those in Europe. Usually, an American breakfast consists of coffee/ tea, juice, toast with butter or jelly and cereal. Therefore, we strive to look for accommodation spots that are in a vicinity of super stores such as Walmart or Target. This way you will be able to equip yourself in nutrition essentials, i.e. veggies, fruit, bread, and beverages almost every day.
Excluding Las Vegas, hotels are on the suburbs of big cities (Los Angeles or San Francisco). However, we make sure that locations of the hotels we pick won't make us drive for longer than 45 minutes to get to the city center.
Many hotels offer free Wi-Fi. However, its quality and stability might be low. The power of reception depends mainly on the distance from a certain room to the nearest Wi-Fi router. In many cases it is better to take advantage of the Internet access in common spaces, where the reception is better. There are hotels that charge for using the Internet. In those cases, the quality of service is better.
One should mind that temperature and general weather condition, between one location and another, may differ significantly. Practically that means that in Las Vegas the weather will be hot, but in San Francisco, during that very same trip, might be much colder, with a cool breeze. Therefore, we encourage you to pack some warm clothes.
