Day 1 - Las Vegas

On that first day you will have a warm welcome from the AmericanTrip crew at a hotel in Las Vegas. In the evening, we will rest after the long journey and get to know the area around the hotel.

Day 2 - Bryce Canyon

Bryce Canyon is one of the most spectacular parks in the United States. This miracle of nature will be our plan for the day. It is said to be a work of art, hand-crafted by mother nature over thousands of years. We will gaze upon the fairytale-like scenery with an incredible range of colors from the sun-rays and see unbelievable rock formations called Hoodoos. We will have plenty of time to spend here, so everyone will be able to admire the amazing panoramas from the viewpoints: Sunrise Point, Sunset Point, Inspiration Point (or Bryce Point). You will build an emotional connection with the park as you start your descent into the canyon though the Navajo Loop Trial trail. This is the most exciting hike in the park, it is a 2.5 km walk with a 157-meter difference in elevation. This hike will remain in your memory for a long time as one of the most breathtaking places on planet earth.

Day 3 - Zion National Park

Zion National Park was named after the Mormon pioneers, the name Zion means a sanctuary or a refuge . We will spend the whole day here because like the name says, it is true, the park is like a natural sanctuary or paradise. This place will evoke unique emotions while looking at the majestic views of the rocks that surround this wonderful valley. The most challenging routes are the famous Angels Landing and The Narrows - probably the most spectacular trail in the entire United States, which is largely covered by walking through the water. The constant noise of flowing water, the presence of 455 meters high rock monoliths, crossing the constantly changing virgin river is an adventure that we will remember for the rest of our lives. The second part of the day is time to discover the other beautiful trails or simply rest in these extraordinary natural circumstances.

Day 4 - Antelope Canyon & Horseshoe Bend

On this day, we will land onto the surface of a different planet. This day will be a photo and videographer's paradise. When you visit Antelope Canyon you will literally feel like you are in another world. It's hard to imagine this colorful canyon without seeing it with your own eyes. This is where the most expensive photo ever was taken at. In 2014 "Phantom" was sold for 6.5 million dollars. Bring your phones and cameras with you so you can hunt for the most beautiful photo of your life.

After we finish our visit at the amazing Antelope Canyon, we will go to the breathtaking viewpoint - Horseshoe Bed. It is impossible to describe how magical this place is and we guarantee that you will have a tremendous feeling of emotions going through you when you see the famous "horseshoe" in the Colorado River. It's amazing to see that this is another masterpiece carved out solely by mother nature. This place is one of the most photographed views in the USA. It will definitely be an amazing experience!

Day 5 - Grand Canyon Natonal Park

On Day 5 we will travel to the famous and iconic Grand Canyon South Rim - recognized as the most spectacular view in the whole wide world. No Description needed... It is impossible to imagine its size until you stand on its edge and gaze into the abyss. On the way to Las Vegas, a stopover is scheduled in the historic town of Seligman. This is where you will be able to see old American cars, old gas stations and stylish restaurants. We will literally go back into to the past and feel the atmosphere of the legendary Route 66, the mother's way in the USA. In the evening it will be time to party! We will celebrate our unique adventure with our companions by hitting the streets of Las Vegas inside a party bus. This is where we will we get pumped up from our favorite music and get ready for the unforgettable night in the famous entertainment capital.

After that, we'll head towards Mesquite Sand Dunes. A landscape that takes your breath away; it is as if someone brought a piece of the Sahara desert and left it there. And in the afternoon we'll depart to towards our next checkpoint; the wonderful Yosemite National Park where we will spend the night close by.

Practical tips from us to you

The American Trip itinerary has been created in such a way to ensure a peak of excitement from experiencing National Parks and cities of the United States. This means that during our journey, there will be some days when we will need to drive approximately 600 km in a day. During the drive, there's a stop at least once every 4 hours. We believe that such form of travelling will enable you to see America in a special manner and feel the momentum of a real American road trip.

Even though we move around in a group, it does not mean that you don't get to spend some time as an individual, by your own preferences. In fact, the only attraction that we visit as an organized tourist group per se, is the Antelope Canyon, to which you can descend only with a designated guide. But most of the time, in places like the Grand Canyon or cities of Los Angeles and San Francisco, every participant discovers them in their own fashion. Our guide gives clues for exploring a certain area, especially when it comes to indicating time and place of pick up and return. Thanks to this system, everyone can sightsee without any hurry and manage their time individually.

In the American culture, breakfast customs differ significantly from those in Europe. Usually, an American breakfast consists of coffee/ tea, juice, toast with butter or jelly and cereal. Therefore, we strive to look for accommodation spots that are in a vicinity of super stores such as Walmart or Target. This way you will be able to equip yourself in nutrition essentials, i.e. veggies, fruit, bread, and beverages almost every day.

Excluding Las Vegas, hotels are on the suburbs of big cities (Los Angeles or San Francisco). However, we make sure that locations of the hotels we pick won't make us drive for longer than 45 minutes to get to the city center.

Many hotels offer free Wi-Fi. However, its quality and stability might be low. The power of reception depends mainly on the distance from a certain room to the nearest Wi-Fi router. In many cases it is better to take advantage of the Internet access in common spaces, where the reception is better. There are hotels that charge for using the Internet. In those cases, the quality of service is better.

One should mind that temperature and general weather condition, between one location and another, may differ significantly. Practically that means that in Las Vegas the weather will be hot, but in San Francisco, during that very same trip, might be much colder, with a cool breeze. Therefore, we encourage you to pack some warm clothes.
